- The competition is open to every Filipino Canadian and non-Filipino.
- The parol can be of any shape or form. The size is no less than a foot in diameter and no greater that two (2) feet across, excluding the tassels. It must be capable of being hung or maybe propped up on a pole that can be carried. Optional: battery operated lighting (no candles), movable decorations.
- The final product should be home-made; however, the raw materials and ornaments can be hand-made, purchased, or made of recycled materials.
- No logos of companies, groups or any affiliations should be included on the parol.
- Only one entry per participant.
- FCSNS Officers and Board Members and their respective spouses or partners are not allowed and not eligible to join this contest.

- Entries must be dropped off on recording on or before December 13, 2021 at ___________________ (to be emailed). No late entries will be accepted.
- Parols submitted will become the property of the Filipino Cultural Society of Nova Scotia. They will be displayed in IWK Center and will be open for bidding. Bidding proceeds will be donated to IWK.

Performance will be pre-recorded and submitted to contest committee via video file. Videos will be played during the event date via Zoom.
- The competition is open to every Filipino Canadian and non-Filipino. The participating group can be composed of children, youth, adult, church, or community groups.
- The group must consist of minimum of three (3) members.
- The group may perform any Original Pilipino Music (OPM) Christmas carols or medley in English, Filipino or in any dialect. Be mindful of copyright laws. Song samples are Pasko Na Naman, Kampana ng Simbahan, Kumukutikutitap
- The group can sing with accompaniment or acapella.
- The group can perform in any appropriate attire or costume. Be creative.
- The performance time is limited to maximum of 5 minutes. Excess in time will incur deduction of points.
- FCSNS Officers and Board Members and their respective spouses or partners are not allowed and not eligible to join this contest.

- The competition is open to every Filipino Canadian and non-Filipino.
- Contest is for exterior light decorations only, including decorations in windows that are visible from the exterior. Judging will be done from outside only.
- Participants agree to have one ormore photos and 1 video of their decorated residence exterior posted on our Facebook page.
- On-site Judging will be done between December 15 to December 30, 2021 between 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm. Actual date of visit and judging will not be announced.
- Participants should ensure that all lights, animations, and decorations are in place and activated for the judging periods.
- FCSNS Officers and Board Members and their respective spouses or partners are not allowed and not eligible to join this contest.
